Not sure that has ever been Lookbook's stated raison d'être. Also, while you both may be fashionistas yourselves and see these basic styles every day, not everyone is and not everyone does. IMHO, it never hurts to see the basics on different body types, etc., although I will agree that these styles are overhyped.
