oh my :/ that's not good. that man has never been punished (as far as I know)...but if he would be, I don't know how. And I gotta tell you another kitty horror story. A car was found, somewhere near a deserted house. And inside the trunk was a cat and her 5 kittens...and they'd been there for over a week! Someone had just left them there to die! And tha kittens had gotten so hungry that they'd killed and eaten two of their siblings :( I don't remember what happened to the people who owned the car, but still. I feel so sad for them...

oh my god :( poor dog! That reminds me of this crazy guy that lives just above the "mini-zoo" in my city...he has these crazy huge rottweilers, and he's always walking them without a leash by the entrance of the zoo, and obviously trying to get them to run inside and cause havoc. And once he shot a cat with a crossbow! The arrow pinned him to the wall, so he was stuck but still alive! And he just left him there, dying slowly of hunger and thirst, and when people came to visit him he even bragged about it and showed them the cat, like he was some great hunter!

p.s. I say "him" about a cat. I know you're supposed to say "it" in english, but we say "him" in icelandic and I feel like "it" is regarding the cat as an object, rather than a living being...

i hate people sometimes. my cat can be pretty boring and not likeable, but I would never EVER give her up! and i think it's so sad that the shelter here is VERY poor...they try to keep the cats as long as they can, but if they put them down they always pick the oldest who have very little chance of being adopted, and then only if they're in serious trouble. I hate how people treat cats and other pets like accessories, they have to LOOK good as well as be good. and then when they get bored with them they just throw them out or dump them in the shelter which makes it even harder for them to take care of all of them :/ some people never think of the consequences of their actions. just by giving up their perfectly good cat, they force the shelter to put down other cats.

holy wow. that is too cute! i have a cat but i'd love to have another, but my current cat is VERY territorial and chases away anything that's not a human >:/
and on the subject of cats; the (only) cat shelter in iceland was having trouble because they were full of kittens, so there was a story about it in the paper. Apparently a lot of people read it, and ten days later, every single one of the kittens had been adopted! When I read that I seriously went "awwww!"
