oh really? what exactly are you studying?
yeah, I think you're right that italian(/portuguese) and spanish are more alike, than spanish and french, though I think you've got an advantage in learning the other language, when you're able to speak one of them before.
oh russian? well that's a slavic languauge and indeed completely different. my step-mother is polish so I know a few words and phrases in polish, and polish is a slavic language too, so russian and polish are slightly related ;D but polish is so complicated! I often even fail at the pronounciation, though this has never been a problem for me XD but I never really learned it, regrettably :/
OK, let me know, when you're going to learn it anew, I gonna help you, we can speak with each other, because one day I guess I'll finally learn spanish too ;D
oh maybe you're right, but I think you could be better in some cases, e.g. grammar, because, when you study hard you'll learn it the right way and will be aware of the mistakes many germans do with their grammar :D

haha, yes I do! I'm very keen to foreign languages.
but I only speak french and english apart from my mother tongue german.
oh well, I can truly understand you. english is very easy, and for you roman languages such as french and italian are easier too.
but I can really imagine that german is very hard to learn for foreign people.
but I know many germans who are also unable to speak their language appropriately :D
