Serving as the third location for Fashion Month, Milan’s schedule is full of the most established and well-known designers. (...)
Late Sunday morning we arrived out front the Salvatore Ferragamo show only to be greeted by a swarm of photographers. (...)
The first rule of thumb when it comes to dressing for fashion shows is that you should always try to wear pieces by the designer who is presenting. Therefore, I donned my mid-heel red Ferragamo pumps to show my support for the Italian designer. For the rest of my outfit, I chose a white blouse by Carven, a leather pleated skirt from Shakuhachi, and a Kate Spade purse. I like to call this outfit “edgy prep”. After the show got out and the crowds had dispersed, I had to return to my ordinary life of homework and cafeteria food. Milan Fashion Week had offered me a glimpse of what my reality could be after college, and I didn’t want to go back to school. Thank god graduation is only eight months away.
