You sit on the cold ground as your eyes flutter open. Like in a dream, you don't remember how you got here. Delirium coupled with fear leaves you paralyzed, when out of the corner of your eye, you see it. It stand so still, you can't be sure if it's real. Yet it watches, silent, as leaves fall to the ground. Your vision blurs, and everything is dark.
For this year's costume, I decided I wanted to change things up from my usual costume ideas and be something a little spooky. A demon. Most of my costume was created by taking pieces I already had (bull skull ornament, H&M dress, twine) and putting them together. Other aspects were handmade, such as the hollow horns (using tubes of paper), my devil staff made out of salvaged wood and a cane and the twig pentagram.
Happy Halloween! Visit my blog for more details about how I put this costume together, plus a tutorial on the hollow horns: flattery.ca/2014/10/demon-costume-hollow-horn-tutorial.html
