Lately I’ve been feeling like all I wear for pants are distressed jeans and although there is nothing wrong with that, I was ready to mix it up and get a little more creative. I used to make weekly visits to ZARA, but honestly haven’t had the time to stop in for at least three months! ZARA is one of my go-to stores when I’m in need of inspiration, a pair of pants that I KNOW will look flattering and fit well or cozy over sized sweaters.
When I tried these navy and white checkered high waisted cigarette trousers on, buying them was a no brainer. I love the subtle side zip and how they fit like stretchy, comfortable jeggings but are still tight enough to be super slimming. At first, I was going to pair them with a cropped casual Topshop tee, but while I was at my parent’s house yesterday, I came across this scallop floral embellished blouse I bought a million years ago on Melrose at this small boutique called Eden Sky. It was as if these pants were especially MADE to be worn with this top. The navy, silver and white colors blend perfectly together and the patterns aren’t too “matchy matchy.”
