"Inspired by Gucci’s latest women’s Spring collection, which featured an array of retro style, button-up skirts and dresses paired with the design house’s signature flower print scarves, I went off in search for the perfect neck scarf. With my limited college student budget, I think I managed to buy the cheapest thing Valentino sells. From their 1973 Resort collection, I picked out a silk, rainbow-striped necktie [...] I completed the runway look with an A-line denim skirt from Alexa Chung’s collection for AG Jeans, a classic white J.Crew button down shirt, Ferragamo block heel pumps, and a kate spade purse. Not only did I relive the joy of accessory wearing I experienced in middle school, but I also wore a denim skirt for the first time since 2005. The old is suddenly new again."
