Most of my outfit photos are taken on the same street. It's not exactly a secret - the brick buildings and black street lamps on Cordova Street appear behind my outfits time and time again. I'm not a born and bred Vancouver girl, and for the most part, the city's architecture doesn't really match my style, but I feel at home among the brick buildings in Gastown, where Cordova is the main street. Despite all the historical buildings, the vibe in Gastown in modern and edgy, making it a perfect background to debut my two new favourite things in my wardrobe. Like most fashion girls, my dream wishlist is a mile long, and it's so satisfying to be able to tick off items that once seemed unattainable - especially two in one month. For my birthday, I treated myself to a very indulgent order from my favourite brand, Sezane, which included an item I've been lusting after since it made it's debut; the Harlow leather skirt. But my wishlist has been developed over my lifetime, and some items have been on it for years; the Chanel 2.55 bag (which I still can't convince myself to splash out for) and the sunglasses. Yes, the sunglasses, because for me there has always been one style that stands out above the rest; Celine's Audrey sunnies. So why haven't I added them to my wardrobe until now? I admit, it's because the price point (a common theme with pieces on my wishlist; I have champagne taste and a Perrier budget) has never thrilled me. If I had thought to look at Smart Buy Glasses sooner, I'm pretty sure I would have a whole collection of Celine sunglasses by now; the site offers all the designer sunglasses a girl could covet at prices that won't break the bank. Which, naturally, means now that I have my Audreys, I'm contemplating a pair of Catys, too... because in all honesty, there's one thing more satisfying than ticking items off your wishlist, and that's adding new items to it!
