So yeah, how do you feel about the romper situation? In case you missed it, they're in. I don't think I wore a romper since 1989 when I was 11 and it had cartoon roller skates all over.

At first I was all 'NO WAY'. Fast forward three months and hundreds of lookbook poses later and I'm starting to see the appeal. And can I say, really comfy.

So I made one. And I love it!
A nice way to show off the legs without worrying about anything hanging out that shouldn't.

I made this 'romper' with a red tweed fabric for the bodice and navy blue stretch poplin for the bottom. I also added a red piping to the front and nautical round buttons that line the sides.

To finish it off, I added a thin belt that ties around the hips.
You see that picture above? I was standing on the stone wall that led up to the foot of the bridge. Of course you can't tell from the photo but just down to my right, was a 20 foot drop.

Can you see that I am terrified? No? See the death grip I have on the bridge. That's it. Heights give me a funny feeling in my stomach.
I LOVE this bike. Brian bought it for me years ago. And I feel we've really gotten our money's worth. I used it to ride the girls around with a child's seat attached to the back.

Recently the tires refuse to inflate so I had to switch the seat to one of our newer bikes. But I knew I would someday have an outfit to wear with it.
Brian said we should call this the 'romper stomper level 1'. He bet me that I wouldn't. Remember those old speak'n'spells with the computerized voice and the game 'number stumpers'? We couldn't stop laughing and repeating it when we got home, replacing all our words with it.

You can't tell from the photos but Brian and I bicker sometimes during our shoots. Turns out it's really hard to get the right shot and when you only have two people to handle the modeling, camera and light disc, tensions are high.
But you know, we always end up 'romper stompers'.

I discovered these photos right now and think they're so wonderful! May I ask - did you use a pattern or did you come up with this by yourself?
