My comeback to still sporting sportsluxe in 2016 reservations – just do it. Labelling this look as sportsluxe is debatable, but I cannot seem to categorize a trending trend in here, so don’t judge. My argument may stem through referencing the literal classification of sportsluxe - athletic essentials teamed up with classic apparel. So allow me to approach the bench.
The Sports Luxe livelihood has been hitting the ball out of the fashion park for a while now. And naturally upon hearing the word ‘sporty’ it is easy to forget all about the ‘luxe’ facet involved. So I’ve trolled the fashion archives, and if I choose to paraphrase the entire ensemble, we could list the gameplan of the sportsluxe game as follows. So for fun, let’s see how I scored? Or won by default?
Rule one) Don’t forget the luxe – sure, we got it. One must simply balance sporty or athletically inclined edgy pieces with a classical sophisticated piece that would naturally not be seen in the gym or on the track - (like the strapped cobalt sandal). This walks us directly to Rule number two) There can only be one winner - Select one winning piece, and mix with other minimal styles, to score that low maintenance look - (Fair enough, the only sporty element in this here look is the “Just Do It” signage, so gotcha). And lastly rule number three) Streamline your silhouette – Now this, I don’t really care much for, never that. But as faux pas’ would have it, the cut of this skirt is pretty streamlined, delivering my lady curves in full. In my defense the waist is elastic. Anyways – this argument is exhausting. I won. That’s all you need to know. Sportsluxe – Just do it, but don’t over do it. Or whatever…
