Here I am, looking in wonder at The Great Basilica in Pliska - the first Bulgarian capital (681-983) and the cradle of the present state Bulgaria. It is one of the biggest and wealthiest cities in Europe, remarkable with its architecture. It is enormous in size for that time - 23.3 sq. km. The palace of Khan Krum had secret passages and exits which could lead the rulers and the population of the city out from it in case of siege. The Great Basilica is the biggest Christian temple in South-East Europe at that time.
Well, enough history :) Despite Pliska is away from any sea or river or just any big water, I was in a naval mood and it shows in my outfit. I am wearing a top with anchor print and white JPG pants which I was given away. They have some lovely sweet little strings on the back :) and this won't be the last time you see them!
