So as you would have read in my Parisian Flare post, the first night in #paris was a bust. Having woken up to the devastating news of the #nice attacks not so far away, the discomfort and angst must have been intuitive to what the southern part of the nation was subject to. However, the day in Paris was still so beautiful you know, gloomy sure, but still standing strong in the midst of assault. We had planned to do a family dinner at #legeorges at #pompidoucentre, which was a less than subtle rooftop gem my sister had found on her previous travels, but we rescheduled for this night. Incredible architecture, mad design and stunning red roses clad on each table overlooking the Paris city skyline and #eiffeltour standing loud and proud. Even more special, was that the Eiffel Tour was donning the blue, white and red of the flag as a sign of national mourning and solidarity.
I on the other hand, donned modern #70s revival that was short on fuss, but long on appeal. Let’s call it the post-hippie city dweller who KUWTK. Let’s start at the top for once, but before the #coldshoulder, do note the skinny leather #choker. We’ll speak about this neck detail in the next post. So moving swiftly along- to the cold shoulder on a #peasantblouse silhouette. We’ve seen this on many a runway from #proenzaschoeler to #emiliopucci. Ubiquitous, yes, but the variety is endless. This style, a little flirty, barf, with #bohemanian flow. But because Tneale doesn’t ever wanna be associated with “Flirty”, I borrowed the lower level of my look from a different more badass decade to offset the breezy silhouette and create a more grungier groove. The groundbreaking #suede thigh highs. If we talk shoe trends, we refer to boots and how they’ve climbed the ladder from ankle, to over-the-ankle, to mid-calf, to knee-length – and alas feast your eyes on the risqué #thighhighs. #annasui and #altuzarra went to great lengths to unpretty woman these badboys and the audacity has sure as shit been attained.
