Trevor and I took an impromptu trip to the beach on a not-so-sunny afternoon. Which, of course, is always the prime time to lounge around by the sea and sand if you prefer the isolation. I’ve always wondered what people’s fascination with the absence of social contact stems from. Perhaps we have become habituated to urbanization, and in some sense, we reset when positioned within the sights and sounds of something less.. Industrial. For myself, I’ve always been so full, I prefer my surroundings to be empty. Additionally, it is much easier to conceal my social disfluency when the opportunity to exchange pleasantries is left at a minimum.
