This sweater I purchased from a local Goodwill for only $5. I was immediately drawn to it. The color and craftmanship are amazing. The tag says "hand knit." and "Wildlife Center" and had an 800 number. I googled the number and turns out it is from a national park in Maine. I suspect that this sweater was sold in the gift shop in the early 90s and was probably a lot of money when purchased. You really can find treasures in thrift stores.
The cigar bag I made. My husband had some old cigar boxes and gave me the idea to make purses out of them. It is really easy. Just glue fabric on the inside and screw eyelets into the top. Then attach the handle to the eyelets which you can decorate with beads.
The cat pictured is my little guy named Fancy. He's such a sweet cat. I found him in a ditch on a back road. Someone had just dumped him there as many people around here do. It seems my favorite things are second hand and that includes clothes and animals. They all have a story behind them and lots of character.
