Location: Kameha Grand Hotel, Zurich, Switzerland
Enter the suite life. We had successfully somersaulted down the Alps and into the financial capital of Switzerland – Zurich. Our home for the next few days – Grand Kameha Hotel, Autograph Collection. An absolute beast of zen and extravagantly contemporary and avant garde décor echoing the detail of “Life Is Grand”, and ain’t it just? As much a haven as this hotel was, we knew that we would have to make the most out of these few days and explore Zurich as deeply as possible since 2 nights didn’t give us that big a window. So in pursuit of the Swiss German aura, my sister and I headed out in pursuit of Champagne and Cosmopolitans. We made our way through 3 lounges and bars and each impressed more than the first. Widder Bar, however I would say stole the show with their “Prince of Wales” Medieval Steel Champagne cup serving and their flannelled helpers. A definite “Add to favourites”.
You will or will not have noticed, this look is pretty much the same as the “Snow White” get up. Good eye! All that needed to be done was a quick day to night change up. Sure, it was an Alps to City journey, a check-in and chill situation, but a sneaker to boot change was required and I opted for an all-white athleisure look of the night. Still casually cool, yet chic and sophisticated which was perfectly fitted for the night ahead. A lovely stroll through Zurich’s old town, a panel of cosmo’s & bubbles and I’d say we did good. Goodnight Grand Kameha, good night Zurich, see you in the morning…
