Location: Café Gourmet - La Boutique Caviar, Zurich, Switzerland
After a gorgeous king-size sleep, waking up gradually we were rebooted and ready for the first official 24 hour day in Zurich. It was a cold and crispy day running some errands and taking advantage of city life amenities which were not so abundant and accessible in the Alps, for a number of obvious reasons. We were done and dusted and settled into a gorgeous little restaurant by the name of Café Gourmet – La Boutique Caviar where little Salmon delights and Perrier-Jouët Champagne on ice were the orders of the day. We lounged there all day, politely barking orders of croque madame’s und Glühwein. Not a bad way to spend a shaggy winter’s day in the stunning Zurich city center.
My trusty leather trousers, big bird jacket and ubiquitous sock boots were the look of the day, and made for an equally sassy transitional night look. Our bartender had given us some insider information on trendy bars and what nots and we enthusiastically obliged. For the life of me I cannot recall the name of this bar, but it proved to be pretty super cool and a nice little prelude to new friendships and the fun-filled evening which ensued. Shout out to our new friends, our Uber driver, the strapping bevy of bartenders and the city of Zurich, you did so good!
