Hello beautiful people! I have been away for awhile because work has been crazy busy but I missed you all. First off, Happy Nowruz! Nowruz is the Persian New Year which has its roots in Zoroastrianism. My mother is from Iran and the holiday was a beloved family tradition. There are no other Persians in my town so for Nowruz my husband took me to the botanical gardens in Chapel Hill, NC because the holiday is a celebration of life and nature. My favorite part was the carnivorous plants. Did ya'll know that Venus Fly Traps are only native to North Carolina and grow in the bogs here? They are quite a triumph of natural selection. It was chilly so I chose an ugly frog sweater from the 80s that I thrifted from Goodwill. I found this cute vintage frog bag from the local antique store and paired it with that.
