This was just off Trail Ridge Road (I think) in Rocky Mountain National Park. There's a building and a lot somewhere on the top of a peak with lookouts along the way :) More of a drive than a hike, but we did do plenty of hikes that week!

I am familiar with it. I did some time in Colorado. Did you get any 14ers in? The weather condition will change almost every 15 minutes.

Man, I only just saw this! We didn't do any of the 14 - I'm still working on the 46 in the ADK all of which are much lower haha! And my husband isn't even up for those. Most of what we had time for (as this was a working trip, too), was nowhere near as intense. We did do Lily Ridge, which was beautiful!

Fair enough. They can be grueling. People get taken down all the time for altitude sickness. I did a double peak and on my way up some guy ran up and down three times in the time it took me to get up.
