Top of the morning to you. Oh how wonderful it is waking up in a hotel bed to a Parisian terrace on a hot and humid summers day. As previously mentioned our Paris leg of the travel diary was a young two night three day affair. Our hosts – the art deco Hotel Panache, dressing the corner of rue du Faubourg Montmartre and rue Geoffroy Marie in all kinds of bold and passé stylings, in the 9th arrondissement. From the Victorian tiled, marble & retro blend lobby, up to the winding branded spiraling staircase or the petite elevator alternative all the way through to the boldly patterned yet mild interior backdrop of their suites, this hotel was a clear winner against our criteria and then some.
One of the 12 million reaons I love to travel, aside from the obvious is the creative inspiration secondly and the opportunity to create firstly. I’ve been designing my own clothes for a good few years now and I’m just gaga over the infamous slip dress. I’m here for the Kate Moss circa 1990’s classic. Transeasonal, effortless and as versatile as they come. So here I’m showcasing my clean cut design in the Pantone colour of the year – Ultra violet, well lavender, or lilac, whichever flush you wish. The intuitive and visionary shades of purple have thrusted themselves on many a runway – from Victoria Beckham, Michael Kors, Gucci, Balenciaga and so on and so forth. So this DTW creation was selectively called upon for this arousing moment and boy, did she do well.
