"GOLDEN HOUR"
Et voila, let the vacation begin. Bonjour Cote D’azur, it’s good to be back. Never mind the train delay and the missing luggage, we made it to Cannes. Checked into our incredible Villa – La Villa Claudia, relished a much needed champagne shower and slipped into something a little more appropriate and celebratory. Strolling through the charming and triumphant streets of Cannes on day one, the vacation mode was stunningly overwhelming. The iconic Cannes le Croisette, only a stone’s throw away from our Villa, dressed in laid back opulence at sunset, had us feeling all our feelings and we were overcome with ultimate and immediate relaxation and appreciation. Putting us in that glorious mindset to toast our accolades and enjoy the glamourous French Riviera in all it’s glory.
Another DTW creation, a groundbreaking slip dress in a neutral equivalent to gold – let’s call it Brut. As per Pantone, metallics have been seen making the transition to neutrals, meshing flawlessly with minimal colours and effortless prints as an epitome of impromptu luxury. This design was more curvaceous and sultry, with a plunging neckline and side thigh slit. The golden hour was mirrored by the brass to bronze earrings. My intent was to neutralize the glitz with the straw handbag, tortoiseshell flatliners & snakeskin sandals, to somewhat bring me back down to earth, but who am I kidding – tis the home of the Champagne region after all, this is the walk of fame, so bring on the sabrage and let’s toast to the good times.
Tneale xx
