As someone’s who’s mental health is usually towards the “not great” end of the spectrum, I’ve had a lot of unsolicited advice offered to me. This advice has usually come from medical professionals, acquaintances and the occasional internet stranger. Sometimes it’s great, but often it’s leaves me feeling invalidated. This is a handy little guide on how to give me advice (and probably other humans with similar brains to mine) without setting off the brains panic response.
