what's your opinion?
I think men should wear whatever they want, however, I would never use them, I think they are just for women...

I think it would be awesome. =]
But I'm just that crazy.
It would be hard to look anything other than cross-dresser like being a guy in heels, though.

I think there is a lot of close-mindedness in this thread, and also a lot of confusion as to what constitutes heels for a man. Are we talking about stiletto pumps? Or are we talking about boots with cuban heels? What constitutes a "high heel", exactly? Check out the YSL Jonny Boot, or Archie Eyebrows, or even beatle boot replicas for examples of tasteful heels for men.

My personal opinion is that thin, stiletto-like heels don't look good on men. Thicker, cuban/stacked heels look a lot better. But in the end, people should wear what makes them happy.

@Xandra B.

Do you think it looks sexy because it shows self confidence? Because I bet if you were going out with a boy who wears heels then I think that would make you think.
Then again I don't know you! XD

Well yeah, wearing heels as a boy shows a lot of self confidence and that's what I think is sexy. Though it does depend on the boy, but that's the same as with girls. You gotta be able to pull it off.

Just looking back over this topic....
I think you make a good point.
Prince is a very small guy, yet he uses his shoes and clothing style to great effect.
He's barely over 5 foot, and he manages fill any room or stadium he enters.

You have the intellectual capacity of an eight year old. Someone so narrow-minded should be embarrassed to show their face on a style website.

Whatever happened to being open minded?
Personally in terms of fashion I believe it is not the piece or who wears it, but HOW it is worn.

There was this older guy who graduated a couple years back from my school and he used to walk around in heels a bit.
He was an average sized man of normal height and well, it's sort of weird and gives the male body an odd disproportionate look.

Everything depends on the boots and the style. Pumps with stilettos are womens' shoes. But when you find some boots that look asexuel somehow, the look may be perfect when you wear a matching style! People should stare at the boots and doubt if they're made for men or for women! What do you think about Rad Hourani's collection?

High heels on men are SOO 1716. Its been done, I'm not sure if it should be revived, but to each their own.

it's okay i think so long as they're not stilettos. and i think the toe should only be at most like an inch below the heel...i think otherwise it would force the leg into a position that wouldn't look right

I would never wear heels, for any occasion, however I think man should be able to wear what they want, specially women piece of clothes.
In terms of esthetics, I consider heels are not that beautiful while a man wears some, unless the man intends to have an androgyne look.
