I could name so many. And I know fashion really is up to perception, but I think I speak for many (if not all) when I say that Ed Hardy is NOT COOL.

Your turn! (:

...wearing stuff that are inappropriate to climate, size, height and comfort like for example, men wearing heels higher than women's, black upholstery fabrics, costumes and accessories for the circus, and psuedo designer labels ahaha...like i saw a look [a black vegas leather jacket from the 80's] labelled as comme de garcon! cmon! rei kawakubo didn't come up with stuff like that...lookbook is suppose to inspire others to look better and not to compete for hypes and karmas right? *just my two cents

I think my biggest pet peeve, with young girls specifically, is the fact that no one in my area puts any effort into anything they wear. The standard is hoodie, sweatpants, ugg boots, and hair whipped into a weird bun thing on the top of their head (I don't mean the neat looking buns that have been very trendy lately, I mean the ones where it looks like they were drunk when they put their hair up). I get stared at like I'm crazy if I wear jeans and a nice tank top. Is it really so hard to put some clothes on that are different than the clothes you lounge around your house and sleep in? I by no means dress outrageously but I at least but some regular freaking clothes on and wash and straighten my hair.
Oh, and not to mention that everything is this Victoria's Secret Pink crap.

Anything that makes a person look like a sheep among a herd. For example abercrombie/hollister/aeropostale/american eagle/VS pink clothes with the store's name plastered across the chest.

I hate uggs, they're not cute. The only thing they have going for them is that they're really warm

Obvious offenders are crocks, sweatpants/pajamas in public, and clothes that try to be trendy but are just lame.. like those random brands from department stores... just no.

Black and brown together, uggs of ANY STYLE, or sweatpants in public. ESPECIALLY sweatpants at the mall. Who knows you're you're going to run into?

Those tights that are supposed to look like lacy fabric. Mostly it just makes the wearer look like they have a really awful skin condition.

It's more than a bit amusing how critical people are of what others wear. Given the sheer number of pet peeves listed in this thread, effectively wearing anything at all is a faux pas.

That's an interesting question. I see in your avatar you are wearing Mary Jane's with white tights. We could pose a similar question about why historically people wear white stockings with Mary Janes (Mary Jane's are effectively just a more formal variant of a sandal and white stockings are effectively just a more formal variant of a sock).

while it's a good point, it does depend on how i interpret it too. and there is no way i consider it sandals and socks

Can I also add onto the Ugg boots topic, that it's one thing if you wear leggings or skinnies with them, but what I absolutely can't stand is when girls wear flared jeans with them and then cram the jeans in so they're all bunchy and weird...also this made me cringe: pinterest.com/pin/224687468883369645/

Oh gosh where to start. I finally got over showing bra straps, but still hate fake fabrics trying to be the real thing in general, like poly faking silk...

True true but it's just so much worse to me with bunchy pants. Pants are not supposed to be bunchy!

Guys who think a "look" means a head-to-waist shot of them being shirtless and showing off their abs... With little else in terms of actual clothing in the picture. Just... please, stop. Don't be "that guy."

Oh... And head shots... WTF people? Doesn't anyone read the rules anymore? Quit it with the fucking head shots! I flag every one of them (even though the site admins never listen)... I'm here on LB to see the outfit you're wearing. If I wanted to see your silly-ass mugshot, I'd be on The Smoking Gun!

i stumbled across a now abandoned profile where almost every picture of the user was topless, showing off photoshopped abs. seems a bit desperate. as for the headshots, please post them on the flag for deletion topic and they will get deleted, i assure you

Lol! Thanks, Selina. I normally do use the "Flag" feature directly, but I never know if anyone ever reviews those. But if the "flag for deletion" thread gets more action, then I'll definitely start using that.

But yeah, people breaking the rules is a pet peeve of mine. I'm not one of THOSE people who get didactic about such things (I'm not going to flag someone just because they cut their photo at the knee instead of the ankle, although mind you, I probably won't hype it either)... But it just seems that lately there's been a rash of some ridiculous shit. Like I saw someone post a photo of a wristwatch the other day, another person posted a photo of their toddler, and someone else yet posted a colour blur where you couldn't even tell what the hell it was.

But ta for the tip. :-)

a lot of the mods don't get these notifications at all and won't know to delete if the picture isn't pointed out to them so please spam that topic so we can get rid of them all :P someone posted a picture of a knee the other day...

Good info... Yeah, I dumped a pile into the thread earlier. Included an advertisement for a hotel even. Sheesh!

Was the knee pretty at least? Or have an arrow in it?

Well, I have to admit I'm not like you guys. I think Ed Hardy tattoo designs are awesome for many reasons. Would I get one? No. Would I wear one? When I'm relaxing around the house, yes. But I guess it is more of a fashion versus tattoo trend. I think maybe we should focus our energy into getting rid of things like UGGS and Crocs. Those things should of never been made. A couple of other things that kill me on the inside every time I see them:

1. Zebra print leggings or skirt (sorry zebras, you are not as good as leopard print)
2. Shirts with super generic print like "YOLO" or "#HASHTAG"
3. Sequins-on-meth pink shirts
4. Cleavage, of any kind, showing to be seen as "sexy" (I like class, not ass)
5. Neon colored animal print (I almost cry seeing this)
6. Denim vests

Leggings as pants. At least wear a shirt that is long enough to cover your business.
I can see your underwear and your camel toe.
Cut that shit out.
It's not cute.

I think you guys are being harsh on UGGs though. I lived in Chicago where everyday was a re-run of Day After Tomorrow. I wore my uggs constantly to keep my toes from falling off from frostbite. I hope no one would bother to point out what they think was a faux-pas while I'm just trying to stay warm :/

Yeah, but that's different. Winter boots being used in winter to keep your feet warm makes sense.

What people hate about UGGS looks more like this:

They look nasty, and they're not even being used for warmth. If you can wear a T and shorts, you can wear nice shoes too...

Plus, even in the winter, I think there are better choices out there. I would rather see something like this than a pair of UGGS:

Totally agree about the leggings as pants though.

Funny that you mention it! That is something I noticed when living in the US. This style was very popular. I have never seen so many sweat pants, ugg boots and flip flops, messy buns in my life ;)
I feel it was worst in Long Island.

Generally there aren't a lot of fashion trends I dislike because almost anything can look good worn right.

-What I think could classify as a fashion sin, are too cheap or too sparkly looking things. The kind you can find in the Indian store for less money (though they do have good things too).
Lots of Rhine stones, glitter, hooker style tops and shoes.

- I also don't like seeing boobs pushed to the max. I knew one girl that had rather small boobs and she pushed them up so high they peeked out of shirts that weren't even low cut
