Are you courageous enough to receive critiques??

Give some RESPECTFUL fashion/ photography/ post advice to the person that posted before you.

Lookbook is designed for flattering people looks and pics, that's great, but sometimes it could be good to listen to other's advice and opinions just to improve. (If you apply it is up to you)

This can be a good tool for newbies but it's necesary to be courageous enough to listen to critiques and to be sincere yet tactful.

I like that you make close ups from details.
I always don't know wether I prefer powerfull colours or bright coloured photos. I don't know what I could say anymore.
It's so difficult to give a feedback to someone else :-)

The outfits are good but I don't like how they are presented. I think you need a more subtle background so your outfits stand out more. I also don't like how you've added a bright background or border to your first four photos, when they would look so great without!

Okay, whoever's next, please be kind :) aha

Not much criticism really...Just have a picture of any detail you like, like jewellry, or shoes, because the rules say its supposed to be "head to toe" :)

Tbh I think you're doing a good job. I like your last picture the most. I don't know how old you are but I think you dress very appropiate. I adored the snakeskin shoes. Maybe what you need is a little bit more spice on your pictures and looks idk something that makes them stand out a wee bit more. But overall I think you are good.
idk how helpful that was :P

and I'm officialy scared of what people will say about mine. D:

This was hard, I like the looks you have!

I like both of the clothing in them , but in the first one I feel that the 3 way collage takes away from it (as well as the rounding of the corners.)

I see you have greatly improved since your first look, though!

The only other thing I would say is: don't be afraid to smile! I have a lot of trouble with this, but I'm starting to realize that it can add something to an outfit photo.

Definitely a good start! I can see you getting far on lookbook.

I like your looks, however I would change the pose for making the complete profile more interesting , I know we always try to pose the same way because we know it looks good but at least the last 5 looks have the same pose, the rest is good,
I like the settings!

well I think that I want to get critique, but I suck at taking it when it finally comes. But I'm gonna grow up and try to participate in this tread, without getting annoyed. I really need to grow up on that point!

OK, Moe S.:
Well, I actually like your style and most of your looks a lot, including the posing and the setup of your photos - surprises me that you aren't getting more hype, too bad! If I should critique you, I'd say you could try to switch your clothing up a bit, because I see you are really fond of shorts and short skirts - you could try something new? but then again, I think that look is working really well on you, so it might be a shame if you start doing something different, if it isn't even your style.
I tried to critique you, but I feel like I didn't succeed in the "you could do this better"-part. but that might just be nice for you, so here you go.

I think I'll start watching you profile more!

love

Your looks don't really have any artistic quality to them. I think you should try more range in location. One of your looks wa in the snow so I would image where you love has some killer scenary. Thyself my only critique to be honest :) but hey it's a style website not a photography website.

Your pictures are good :) some of the poses look a bit awkward, but at least you are trying out some different poses :)
I would try having a picture with your whole body in, head to feet just straight on, but that's just a personal preference coz I find it easier to see the whole outfit that way.

the only thing i can think to say is why are a lot of your shots taken so "far away" ?
for example i like this one the best

lookbook.nu/look/1274844-Witching-Hour

because it's a good close-up shot of your look and the framing and composition are very nice. it's much more eye-catching than the photos that look as if they're more like candid vacation pictures or whatever.

also there's one nice look where you're posing with your arms up over your head--- ya know, a little more modelly.

more like that :)

Yeh I really like that one, it's just hard to find places near me where shots like that are actually possible which is annoying.
I do like the one with my arms over my head too, but that one IS a vacation shot, haha!

Thanks for the advice :)

I do enjoy your collage background, it's clever! I would work on your lighting. Pictures that stand out to be are clear, crisp shots. I'd also add some variety to your background. You're a very cute girl with a fun fashion sense, so definitely don't change that!

I don't know what to say. My thing is probably the backgrounds, but it's weird some of your backgrounds are really good, but some arent so hot. Maybe you should take the pictures a little closer too, so we can see the details of the outfit :] aside from that I like them!

Richard already said it all really. Your outfits look like they have some really beautiful detailing so I'd love to see that a bit more and it would be a good idea to take some pictures in some natural light, it looks like quite a few of your looks are taken inside with the aid of a flash or tungsten light and the details would come out alot better if you took them outside :) also, don't squish your pictures like "Speak quietly, other than that, keep it up :)

i think that you should have more variety of angles, and like make the whole outfit show. i dont know, i ve never really been a big fan of taking pictures from the top angle because it makes your legs look short and chubby. and you also should post more looks, and variety with that as well. i can tell what your personal style is, but you can be more willing to go outside the dark skinny jeans, shirt, jacket/cardigain. or have something that makes each outfit pop, and differenturate from the otherss.

buut, natural lighting makes pics look more natural and interesting (I know some of my pics are burned but that's a good suggestion someone gave me in this forum)
2. I think having a variety of settings and poses make the profile eye-catching.

Hmm nothing much your pictures are all pretty good :)
Maybe in some, up the brightness a little, they're a little dark. Also, in some looks where you have two pictures collaged, try keep the colors the same (nothing major, just noticed it in a few looks).
Other than that, most of it looks awesome :D

I liked your outdoors shots more, just wait for a flattering light, the light before and during the sunset are amazing
I think I´ll only say... try not to use flash, and if you are shooting indoors, search a natural source of light and use it.
Ps. Loved your bow ring!

lovely pictures !! the critique is just for your last post , i think the photo is a bit blurry( maybe is because of the lighting ) and you're a little bit far... so it can't be seen exactly what you're wearing
