I'm going to New York in the fall, and my uncle (a photographer and news cameraman) advised me to put together a pamphlet-style mini portfolio that I can submit to small galleries and stuff. I don't think I'm very good, but I figure the worst that can happen is I don't get any callbacks.

Most of my shots worth showing are digital, so I'm wondering what the best way to go about this is? ie:
-should I put something together on the computer, and if so what is a good program to use?
-or, should I just make prints of the ones I want to use and organise them in a physical way, and then get copies done up at Kinko's or something?
-what should I include other than contact info and samples of my photos?

Advice from anyone who has done this (or is currently working a professional photography gig) is greatly appreciated.
