Oh yeah, check out Chinatown too. Oh, and go to Riverdale, there's like, tons of stuff as well, and even a mini Chinatown. And a Greektown. And Little India.
CN Tower restaurant, the food was amazing when I wentAnd the view there in the evening...
I wouldn't suggest doing anything overly tourist-y like the CN Tower for the simple reason that it's really expensive. Instead of going there to eat, maybe just go for a tour or even just check it out from the outside. I presonally don't think it's that fun or spectacular to visit, but it's just my opinion and probably because I've grown up here lolFor shopping, depending on what you're in to, there are tons of places to go. For vintage shopping, I suggest Kensington Market. For bargains and everyday shopping, I suggest The Eaton's Centre, Yonge Street, and Queen Street West. For more high-class/designer shopping, take a trip to Bloor Street. There are also a lot of little parks throughout the city that are nice to sit and eat lunch in, and the subway system is SO simple to navigate. It's really a fantastic city.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions, any ideas on good places to stay while were there?

spiceroute.ca/index2.html^ one of my favourite restaurants in toronto.check it out.also, kensington market. :)There's a cute little park next to the UoT.I can't describe it really, butThat whole area in general is nice, if you're looking for somewhere romantic.
i agree i have never heard about anyone from toronto hating vancouver for no reason? maybe its just you guys their from vancouver. i personally think vancouver looks amazing and i would love to visit. im not from toronto but i'm not far from the city and i go there pretty often to shop and go out for dinner. and i agree making friends with the homeless people is definitely fun!
