Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Stardust by Neil Gaiman
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch

That's off the top of my head at the moment. Let me know if you want some more recommendations.

I forgot to mention The Magicians by Lev Grossman! There are three books in that series now.

Let me know how you like the others!

He's a really great writer! I'm slowly going through his Sandman graphic novel and plan on buying his Graveyard Book graphic novel as well!

I've just finished reading The Magicians by Lev Grossman! I mostly liked it but there were some parts that I found strange. What did you think of the book?

Honestly, I don't really like the main character much, but love most of the surrounding characters. It's just that the guy seems a bit too whiny? My husband thinks the same but still loves it.

What I absolutely love about the book and following books, is that the main character has a great love for reading. I relate to it!

But yeah, there are some weird parts. (I won't get too into it because I don't want to spoil it for others who might read it!)

Well, my favorite ones are the "Lord of the Rings" Trilogy. But I also highly recommend the series "Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy", because they're simply hilarious :)
