Son of a beautiful compassionate elf finding it difficult to live in an orcish world. My five cat children keep me going though.
A number of people online, (including here), will know me by my previous psuedonym, Toradellin. I've used a psuedonym online for a couple of reasons, a) to prevent relatives against whom I have a DVO from finding me and causing me any more suffering and b) I have always hated my given names. I suspect my drunken, negligent, arse of a father took advantage of my mother's gentile naivity and suggested a name that in it's entirety is one long double entendre.
Now that my mother has passed and I finally have the money to change my name, I have done so. My name is now Lachailill Adellin Max McLennan. Lachailill is a compound of the Gaelic Lach, "kind" and Ailill, "elf". Adellin is in memory of my mother whose middle name was Adele which is Germanic for "kind". I added the Gaelic word line, (shortened to "lin") which means "pool of water", (usually at the bottom of a waterfall). Thus I refer to my mother as a pool of kindness. Max was one my mothers brothers. He was very like my mother in that he was a very quiet person and very kindhearted. Like my mother he was also treated very badly by the rest of the family. McLennan, of course, is our clan on my mother's side. My McLennan great aunts were the only decent family we had. They're all dead now unfortunately, including Mary McLennan, (a McRae by birth), who was the last of us to speak Gaelic. Every now and then I try to practice and learn our old tongue, but when you don't have someone to practice with it's a bit hard.
Once I have my work up on art websites under my new name I will post the links for you to click on. I will eventually be deleting all my old accounts under the name Toradellin, but until then you can still find my work via a websearch. I often seem to disappear from the internet as I'm busy with some project or just severely depressed. I do come back though.
